Mere hours after the unveiling of the Mercedes-AMG C 43 sedan, the company took the wraps off its estate-bodied cousin that will only be available in Europe (and won’t be coming to the USA later).
Most importantly, the new C-Class ditches the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 in favor of a turbocharged four-pot rated at 408 PS (402 hp / 300 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft). The family hauler is marginally slower on the uptake than the sedan, getting to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.7 seconds. It normally comes limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), but the electronic limiter can be raised to 265 km/h (161 mph) for a premium.
Mercedes will be unveiling the next-gen coupe and convertible next, but it remains to be seen whether those will belong to the C-Class or the CLE family. The company has not confirmed anything yet.
