Mercedes-Benz has presented a new development strategy recently, envisioning a shift towards the high-end luxury segment of the market. Compact vehicles will be allowed to stay on the list thanks to a new series called Entry Luxury.
The Entry Luxury range will be only half as large as the current pool of affordable Mercedes cars. Speaking during the presentation, the chief designer of the company revealed the first sketch of a vehicle set to debut in two years’ time. The image provides a side view of a car silhouette with slanted roof, elongated front, and shortened rear.
It looks like the newcomer is a sedan designed to replace both the A-Class and the CLA (see video). The company claims it will be one of the most luxurious and technologically advanced representatives of its market segment when it does debut.
