The media learned not long ago that Mercedes-Benz was developing a whole lineup of compact-sized EVs, and as many as three baby Benzes have now been sighted on the streets.
The test cars in the gallery below wear somewhat different camo wraps, suggesting that they could be different versions of the new CLA-Class. That said, at least one of them looks like it could be the upcoming EQA electric saloon expected to arrive in 2025.
As far as we know, the next CLA generation will come based on a compact car platform accommodating ICE and electric drivetrain designs. One of the prototypes differs from the rest thanks to frameless doors and a sharply slanted roof, like the latest CLA. Two have normal door handles and one has its handles installed flush with the body.
We cannot say for certain whether the EV will be marketed as the EQA Saloon or simply as a battery-powered version of the normal CLA-Class.
