A video cropped up online this weekend depicting a cladded Mercedes-Benz sedan towed by a Sprinter van for an unknown reason. It is unclear what car it was, but the author of the video says it looked closest to the recent A and CLA models.
As you can see, the saloon is rather small, especially compared against the Sprinter. The filming occurred in one of the countries of Northern Europe. The author says the car looked all-electric and was first spotted driven very slowly with emergency lights on, possibly because it ran out of battery much earlier than the driver expected.
The prototype was heading towards the Mercedes Research HQ. The first time it was encountered on the road, it moved on its own and was within 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from the HQ. The second sighting was within 3 km (1.8 miles) from the HQ, and the car was towed rather than driven.
