Mercedes-Benz reveals electric range of the CLA sedan

Mercedes-Benz has shared some info about its upcoming CLA-Class saloon. The company has posted a few more teasers and promised to reveal the car in full at the IAA Mobility Expo in Munich.

Announced in late July, the Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA Class will become the first entry in a new compact EV lineup called Entry Luxury. It will also be the company’s first production car to run on the Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA), which is primarily oriented on EVs but supports internal combustion engines as well. Finally, a new operating system known as the MB.OS will make its debut on the car.

As for the specifications, the manufacturer promises us a cool 750+ km (466+ miles) of WLTP-rated range with an average power consumption of 12 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometers. This means that the battery capacity will amount to 90 kWh or so.

The production car is slated for release next year, with a few prototypes already spotted on the roads in what looked like the finalized bodywork.
