Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to introduce the world to its first-ever CLE-Class Convertible. As these spy shots recently made in Germany suggest, the car is still a long shot from complete, but definitely getting there.
The heavy camo is no longer present, so we can finally appreciate the overall exterior and profile of the car. Since we have seen the coupe-shaped CLE testing multiple times already, the convertible doesn’t look too novel or unexpected. Still, it is surprising how much the car resembles the SL-Class Roadster.
The upcoming CLE family is envisioned as a replacement for four cars at one – the E-Class and C-Class coupes and convertibles. As such, it should be somewhere in between these cars in terms of dimensions. One more thing that catches the eye is that the CLE rides somewhat higher than the SL, suggesting that it prioritizes comfort over sportiness.
