Mercedes-Benz has filed an application for EPA certificates for its year 2024 model lineup meant for sale in the United States. Car and Driver studied the document and found interesting bits.
For one, the automaker plans to offer its E-Class All-Terrain wagon in the USA next year. The base spec is not mentioned anywhere, though: the only version coming to the country is the high-riding E450.
Aside from that, the application seems to confirm the earlier rumors about the CLE coupe coming to phase out both the C-Class Coupe and the E-Class Convertible. There will be two new CLE-Class cars on sale in North America in 2024, a coupe and a convertible with the temporary designations ‘C236’ and ‘A236’. Both models will support three drivetrain options: 300 4Matic (four cylinders), 450 4Matic (six cylinders) and AMG 53 (top spec, TBA).
