For several months now, the next generation of the Mercedes E-Class has been spotted during road tests in various parts of the world. The company has now launched an official ad campaign praising the virtues of a new interior with as many as three displays.
The new E-Class strongly resembles the all-electric EQE minus the Hyperscreen display. The air vents are slimmer in the petrol car and a number of buttons have been moved to just under the head unit, but other than that the two look closely related.
There is also a selfie camera mounted on the upper dash panel that you can only use when the car is parked. It is a paid option included in the MBUX Superscreen package, which also includes a dedicated touchscreen for the front passenger.
Among other things, the latest E-Class brings along a feature called Active Ambient Lighting, which can adjust the interior illumination depending on the tempo of the music currently being played.
The international premiere is scheduled for this spring.
