The Mercedes-Benz EQE has only been recently revealed, but here comes its high-end AMG version already.
In its standard specification, the newcomer has an electric AWD setup with two motors toiling for 625 PS (616 hp / 460 kW) and 950 Nm (701 lb-ft) of torque. Opting for a package named Dynamic Plus raises the output to 687 PS (678 hp / 505 kW) and 1,001 Nm (739 lb-ft).
Note that both sets of specs are only valid for an activated short-term boost feature, meaning that both cars actually max out somewhere below these numbers in casual driving. Still, the Dynamic Plus version normally needs only 3.2 seconds to get from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph), while the standard spec needs 3.4 seconds.
Mercedes claims that the AMG EQE can cover between 445 and 518 km (276 – 322 miles) according to the WLTP standard. The non-AMG variant has much more autonomy with 660 km (410 miles). Still, you can replenish 180 km (112 miles) worth of battery power in just 15 minutes.
You can tell the high-end EQE from its mundane counterpart by a black radiator grille with vertical bars and an AMG badge, a front splitter, side skirts, a rear diffuser, a trunk lid spoiler, and a different wheel set.
Pricing remains to be announced.
