Mercedes-Benz EQE shows cabin, new and exciting element count: 0

Mercedes-Benz will be revealing its all-electric SUV named EQE later today, and in the meantime, here are some of its interior shots. If you see nothing different from the EQE sedan and the EQS SUV, you are on to something.

The dashboard in particular looks identical with its slim central air vents and turbine-shaped side vents. A trio of displays occupies nearly the entire dash panel.

Ambient lighting illuminates the front fascia and the doors. The trim scheme involves as many as five colors, ranging from greyish light blue to brown. The décor involves natural wood, aluminum, 3D anthracite and occasional metallic inserts.

The Mercedes-Benz EQE promises to become one of the most spacious cars in its market segment. However, all-electric mid-size SUVs arguably haven’t yet reached the point when they form a whole market category: there are simply too few around to compare. When Mercedes says ‘class-leading’ about the interior space of the EQE, it probably compares against all mid-size SUVs, including ICE-based ones.
