The Mercedes-Benz EQE is officially an SUV now

We have long been tracking the progress of the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV, and it has now finally been introduced on official terms. The options buyers get to choose from include EQE 350+, 350 4Matic, EQE 500, and AMG EQE SUV.

The model runs on the EVA2 architecture and sports a black front fascia, original window and hood lines and different taillights compared to the EQE sedan.

Like its four-door counterpart that debuted earlier, the SUV uses a 90.6-kWh traction battery built into the floor of the car, giving it around 550 kilometers (342 miles) of WLTP-rated range.

The EQE 350+ uses a single electric motor to drive the wheels with 288 PS (284 hp / 212 kW). The EQE 350 4Matic packs two motors, but its power output stays the same. The manufacturer says the 4Matic has a torque advantage, but without any specifics. Next up the ranking is the EQE 500 with two motors and 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW) total. At the top of the line is an AMG model rated above 600 horsepower (450 kilowatts). It can sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3.4 seconds with the AMG Performance Package installed.
