Mercedes unveiled the all-electric EQG as early as 2021, but only started tests last year. Now, we can get our first look at the battery-powered G-Class being tested in cold weather.
A blue-black wrap covers the entirety of the off-roader. We have seen the color combination on other Mercedes test vehicles before, but never with a pattern resembling a topographical map. Could it be a transparent hint at the exceptional overlanding performance of the EQG?
Whatever the case may be, the prototype looks very similar to the quad-motor concept it is based upon, as well as the standard G-Class. A closer look reveals lower-body air vents, a distinct radiator grille and mysterious cutouts in the rear fenders.
The live sales are scheduled to start next year.
