Mercedes-Benz pieces together its 22,000,000th car in Sindelfingen

The main Mercedes-Benz factory located in the city of Sindelfingen, not far from Stuttgart, has produced twenty-two million cars throughout its operation period.

The car with the anniversary production number was an EQS 580 liftback that rolled out of the facility known as Factory 56, a ‘plant inside of a plant’, as the company itself calls it.

The Sindelfingen manufacturing site was commissioned 107 years ago. It currently employs around 35,000 staff and assembles the AMG GT, CLS, EQS and GLC models, as well as various E- and S-Class cars.
