This Mercedes-Benz G-Class used to serve in the Army of Singapore, and is currently up for grabs with 14,500 km (9,000 miles) under its belt and the bidding at £8,888.
The off-roader features a Spartan interior and lacks and kind of roof, doors and glass dome – even the windshield is not there. Judging by the photos, everything is how it is supposed to be by design, rather than modifications. There is a massive roll bar behind the front seats that could theoretically support a removable top of some kind, but the listing mentions nothing of the kind.
Designed for four passengers, the SUV offers two normal – if very basic – front seats and two tiny paratrooper seats in the back.
Powering the wheels id a 2.4-liter diesel engine mated to a four-speed manual gearbox and rear differential lock. The mill makes 71 PS (70 hp / 52 kW).
The seller claims the vehicle is in fairly good condition barring some scratches, paint chips and rust spots. After being imported from Singapore into the UK this March, it underwent complete maintenance and repair that saw its suspension, brakes and wiring replaced.
