Few aftermarket G-Class vehicles are as ostentatiously brutal and expensive as the Brabus 800 Adventure XLP, but it has now been dethroned. By its own kin, no less!
The Superblack is essentially the same car, just somehow even wilder. Judge for yourself: it is nearly 700 mm (27.4 inches) longer, 116 mm (4.5 inches) wider and rocks a truck bed in the back. Both the exterior and the cabin are murdered out in rich black with scarce red accents. A matching carbon fiber body kit and 22x9.5-inch alloy wheels built to withstand 3 metric tons (6,600 lbs) of car weight complete the menacing image.
The tech has been overhauled all around, from new portal axles through adjustable suspension springs to an array of off-road equipment. Despite the added bed, the interior stays the same size as before and sports a deluxe leather trim with some carbon thrown in for good measure.
Powering the foul-tempered G-Class AMG is a stock engine dialed to 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque courtesy of numerous upgrades. The peak torque is unlocked as early on as 3,600 RPM, letting a nine-speed automatic gearbox take the SUV from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.8 seconds. The highway speed is only capped at 210 km/h (130 mph) because of the terrain-friendly tires.
The Superblack can already be ordered from Brabus starting from €726,000.
