Mercedes-AMG G63 Edition 55 bows in Europe with new styling and options

The new AMG G63 Edition 55 celebrates the 55th anniversary of the AMG division in the Old World, and is available in Obsidian Black and Opalite White.

The limited edition makes use of two stylistic packages that serve to improve its looks with a plethora of dark accents. The fuel tank lid is chrome-coated and bears an AMG badge. OEM rims make room for new 22-inch forged wheels with a matte finish.

Black and red Nappa leather covers the seats in the cabin, while the steering wheel has a microfiber wrap and the floor mats combine black velour with red stitching for contrast. Rounding things off are glowing red kick plates.

Things stay stock under the hood, where the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 still churns out 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque to an automatic transmission. On the plus side, all buyers get an AMG-badged full car cover free of charge.
