The original Mercedes-AMG G 63 6x6 was an experimental truck limited to just 100 production units, but Apocalypse Manufacturing USA has you covered with its convincing replicas. One of them is up for grabs on Bring-a-Trailer right now.
The tuner’s portfolio is dominated by cars with a bold and menacing appearance that screams ‘aftermarket mods’ at you. However, this time around the design team aimed at replicating the elusive original as faithfully as they could. It looks like they succeeded, too: heavy-duty portal axles, 22-inch Fuel wheels shod in 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires, lifted suspension – the project ticks most of the boxes. Unless you remember precisely what the OEM six-wheeled truck looked like, you may think this is it.
Compared to its G-Class donor, the vehicle also sports a bull bar at the front, convenient-looking running boards and a matte-black full body coating. The interior comes draped in red leather with black inserts and offers seats with massage/ventilation functions.
A stock twin-turbo V8 still delivers 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels.
The bidding is currently at $100,000 with four days remaining until the auction closes. The seller mentions an accident from three years ago that resulted in damage to the car’s underbody.
