Rare Brabus crops up on sale for €0.7M

Hollmann has posted a sale ad for a bespoke Brabus G V12 900, one out of ten such cars based on the Mercedes-Benz G 63 (watch the video for another example). The large-scale customization nearly quadrupled the price of the SUV, which has as little as 998 km (620 miles) under its belt.

The latest G 63 is not available with a twelve-cylinder engine from the company directly, but Brabus has been correcting this shortcoming since 2019, taking out the standard 4.0-liter V8 and installing a modified S-Class V12 in its place.

The engine gets its displacement volume stroked from 6 to 6.3 liters and its turbocharger kit upgraded, among other modifications. As a result, the output rises from 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW) to 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW) and the torque shoots into the sky with 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft). Brabus still caps it at 1,250 Nm (922 lb-ft) on street-legal cars for safety reasons. Hitting 100 km/h (62 mph) in such an off-roader takes 3.8 seconds and the top speed is at 280 km/h (174 mph).

This particular vehicle additionally received an aftermarket exhaust, a carbon body kit and 24-inch wheels. The interior was re-trimmed with black perforated leather and adorned with red stitching and carbon trims.
