The Mercedes-Benz G-Class pickup is a relatively rare choice for camper conversions, but Pit26 Motorsports has found a niche for itself building such trucks.
The vehicle shown in the gallery below is based on the AMG G 63 spec and enjoys around 50 cm (20 inches) of extra wheelbase. It also rides around 150 mm (6 inches) higher than stock with new Bilstein coilovers, portal axles and 18-inch Innov8 Racing wheels shod in 38-inch Toyo MT rubber.
Elsewhere, the build adds new running boards, extended wheel arches and a Magnaflow exhaust system for a juicier engine soundtrack. Speaking of which, the engine stays stock – which isn’t bad, because the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 can produce 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW) without any mods.
The roof rack houses auxiliary light bars and the mounting points for an IKamper Mini tent. A two-bike rack is visible in the truck bed.
