Famous tuner Mansory has presented a fresh stylistic take on the Mercedes-AMG G 63. Like the Gronos package before it (see video), the Grand Entrée has a polarizing appearance and will be loved by some and hated by others.
The name is French for ‘grand entrance’, and it is easy to see why. The whole kit is made of eye-catching forged carbon and does very little to streamline the boxy appearance of the G-Wagen – on the contrary, it adds new acute angles, sharp edges and boxy shapes.
The package comprises a brand-new front bumper and grille, a raised hood cover with a motor dome, bulky wheel arches and protruding, veiny side mirror covers. A disproportionately large spoiler sits on the roof above the tailgate, while rally-style wheels fill out the wells rather snugly.
The unchecked design continues to run rampant in the cabin, which combines swampy-green leather with pistachio-green seat upholstery. As usual, customers are welcome to choose their own color combos.
The engine benefits from a boost to 850 PS (838 hp / 625 kW). It isn’t the limit - the Gronos mentioned above can output 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW) – but it is enough to launch the bulky SUV from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.5 seconds.
Only 10 examples will be made.
