Mansory turns a G-Class into a gold ingot on wheels

Aftermarket company Mansory has presented yet another daring and unconventional project car: the P900 EWB Gold Edition. It’s a normal Mercedes-AMG G 63 coated top to bottom in genuine 24-carat gold.

The entire body of the SUV along with the body kit, the alloy wheels and the exhaust tips were coated with the precious yellow metal. So as not to make the whole project about bling, Mansory extended the wheelbase by 200 mm (roughly 8 inches) and reversed the rear door hinges. It also installed soft-close mechanisms on all doors and trimmed the cabin to match the exterior.

Last but not least, the stock V8 received a massage to 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW) and 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque. Tuned like this, the G-Wagen sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.3 seconds – that’s very impressive considering its sheer bulk and high-drag profile.

The tuner neglected to reveal any pricing details.
