German tuner Brabus has elevated yet another Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG to its signature “800 Widestar” spec. We’ve seen these off-roaders before, but this one seems to be the first to wear a Mean Green exterior.
It is a striking color, and so is the body kit. In typicla Brabus fashion, the aero bits include a front apron, air intake shrouds, a rear diffuser and an upper rear spoiler. The tailgate gets a carbon-fiber spare wheel holder, and the driver gets extra LEDs for driving in bad weather.
Never one to leave good enough alone, Brabus tunes the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood to deliver 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lb-ft) of torque to both axles – way more than the factory-guaranteed 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW).
he sprint times weren’t measured this time around, but the 800 Widestar usually has what it takes to zap from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under four seconds. That’s a big accomplishment for a bulky frame-based off-roader.
The owner of this example specced it with the tuner’s in-house black wheels, a performance exhaust system with an active valve and a gorgeous exterior-matching cabin upholstery combining fine leather with Alcantara.
