The spy shots depict a regular AMG GLE 63 being driven alongside its coupe-like cousin. The camouflage is thin and only applied inĀ few areas, suggesting that the facelift will be minimal.
It looks like the designers retouched the front and rear lights and duct-taped over the tri-pointed star on the front grille. Interestingly enough, they left the badges at the front and rear ends exposed, so that everyone can still see it is a Mercedes car. Could a Mercedes logo redesign be coming up soon? We cannot say for sure.
One of the test vehicles was later parked, so the spy photographer peeked inside its cabin. Everything there was standard except for the steering wheel (and perhaps infotainment software, which usually gets an update along with the car).
Things will most likely stay the same under the hood. The current-gen Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 draws its power from a 4.0-liter V8 rated at 571 PS (563 hp / 420 kW). A 48-volt electric starter assists it for some extra thrust and torque.
