How do you like this Koenig-made Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC?

This 33-year-old Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC is set to sell for €150,000–€200,000 thanks to having a touch over 20,000 km (12,000 miles) under its belt and some Koenig aftermarket options on.

Koenig rose to fame in the 1980s and 90s thanks to its custom projects based on premium cars. Its treatment of the 560 SEC was limited to 100 units and included an original body kit along with an optional interior makeover. The owner of this example went for both.

On the outside, the car has new bumpers, flared fenders, side extensions with air intakes in them, and a massive rear spoiler. It rides on 18-inch large, ultra-wide Koenig Special wheels and makes use of custom exhaust finishers. The radiator grille once wore a Koenig emblem, too, but has since been replaced with a stock part.

The interior comes trimmed in blue leather with branded floor mats and a wood-rimmed steering wheel. A standard 5.5-liter V8 sits under the hood and pushes 279 PS (275 hp / 205 kW) to the wheels, accelerating the car from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in roughly seven seconds.

The seller claims the car was originally built for a client from Dubai, UAE, but it was later acquired by a Mercedes fan and brought to the Czech Republic. It was transported by a freight plane, rather than by sea, in order to avoid any possible damage due to the humidity and container loading/unloading routines. Both owners were car collectors, which explains the low mileage.
