Mansory envelops the part-electric Mercedes-AMG S-Class in carbon fiber

Mansory’s latest tuning project targets the part-electric Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance sedan and looks rather understated compared to most. All vivid red accents are gone, replaced with simple and elegant black trim bits.

The German tuner outfitted the car with its usual S-Class body kit (see video). It includes redesigned front and rear bumpers, side sill extensions, a vented hood cover, a front spoiler, a rear diffuser and side mirror covers. The wheel arches ended up with subtle carbon accents.

A peek inside the wheel wells reveals an aftermarket wheel set with round hubcaps. The interior isn’t shown in any detail, but seems to be trimmed with light blue leather and sprinkled with Mansory logos.

There is no mention of an engine upgrade for this particular project, but Mansory does have a few options on the list for the S-Class hybrid. The ultimate tune-up persuades the stock 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 to churn out 880 PS (868 hp / 647 kW) along with 1,490 Nm (1,100 lb-ft) of torque. Once upgraded, the sedan can sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.2 seconds.
