The new Mercedes-AMG SL premiered last fall, but you could only choose between two 4.0-liter V8 variants rated at 476 and 585 PS (469/577 hp; 350/430 kW). Today, an entry-level 2.0T spec goes on sale priced from €118,708 on its domestic market.
The Mercedes-AMG SL 43 comes equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine complemented with a mild-hybrid system. The systemic output reaches as high as 381 PS (376 hp / 280 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque. An MCT nine-speed automatic drives the rear wheels with no other drive options. A launch from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 4.9 seconds, and the top speed lies as high up as 275 km/h (171 mph).
You can tell the entry-spec AMG SL from its higher-tier cousins by the oval tailpipes and different bumpers at both ends. The option list mentions adaptive shock absorbers, 4WS, wheels 20 and 21 inches large, differential locks, and more.
