Mercedes-AMG SL 63 flaunts Vossen wheels

Mercedes-Benz had originally envisioned its SL-Class Roadster as a comfortable and luxurious vehicle, but it has now received a sporty AMG version as well. Naturally, tuners immediately proceeded to roll out custom projects based on it.

This particular car was upgraded by Vossen Wheels, a U.S.-based wheel boutique. The team behind the project swapped the stock wheels for a set of S17-04 forged rims finished in black. The model is Monoblock by design, so it is more wallet-friendly than the high-end multi-piece wheels, and comes in diameters ranging from 19 to 24 inches. The buyers can choose from as many as 48 finish options for the spokes and the rims.

Aside from this, the roadster was left largely stock. The suspension appears lowered, but since there is no special mention of it anywhere, we suspect Vossen simply tweaked the OEM air-ride suspension settings without replacing any hardware.

The 2023 SL-Class draws its power from a four-liter V8 boosted to 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW).
