A low-mileage Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT roadster is on sale on the Brabus website right now. Despite near-stock powertrain and suspension, the car goes for €290,703 – a hefty premium over the €213,000 original asking price.
Mercedes produced a touch over 1,000 SLS-class vehicles in a variety of trims in 2012. This particular example has 18,500 km (11,495 miles) under its belt and is a GT version optimized for track days. To this end, its 6.2-liter V8 comes boosted to 591 PS (583 hp / 435 kW) instead of 571 PS (563 hp / 420 kW). This and stiffer suspension enable it to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.7 seconds and max out at 320 km/h (199 mph).
For its part, Brabus outfitted the roadster with a new front bumper extension, a different rear bumper and spoiler, and assorted body trim. Tuner’s badges on the kick plates are the main novelty in the cabin.
The engine stayed the same, but received a valve-controlled titanium exhaust system. The chassis was tweaked for comfort with new springs and some other parts. Rounding off the scant upgrades are bespoke wheels sized 20” front and 21” rear.
