A Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series rumored to be one out of only 130 units made in total is up for grabs in the USA right now with the top bid at $550,000 and several days before the end of the auction.
The example on sale has barely any use on it – less than 4,200 km (2,800 miles) over nine years. Its pristine state, gorgeous gull-wing doors and supercar status all contribute to the selling value.
The Black Series badge adorned the SLS AMG lineup in 2013. Perhaps most importantly, it boosted the stock 6.2-liter V8 from its usual 571 PS (563 hp / 420 kW) to 631 PS (622 hp / 464 kW), bringing it the title of the world’s most powerful naturally aspirated car at the time. It also came with transmission tweaks and a stiffer suspension, as well as modified steering and body kit.
When new, the coupe shown here cost its buyer a cool $285,800, partially thanks to the optional Bang&Olufsen audio system on board. It has since gone through multiple owners, but the mileage and condition suggest that they have all taken great care to use it as carefully and as little as possible.
