Following up on the T-Class Concept premiere last year (see video), Mercedes has confirmed that the minivan will debut on April 26, 2022. It also posted a teaser pic showing the production vehicle.
As you can see, there is little remaining from the original concept. The front fascia, complete with the radiator grille and modern Mercedes headlights, is all new.
The company plans to offer its new T-Class with a variety of gasoline, diesel and hybrid powertrains. Once it hits the showrooms, the MPV will join the company of the Citan model, which underwent a major redesign not long ago. However, the two should not compete with each other much, because the automaker positions the T-Class as “a small premium minivan for those leading an active lifestyle.”
