Mercedes ushered in the new T-Class this spring, and is now welcoming a special version of it called Marco Polo to the family. The adventure-friendly van debuted at the recently opened Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Rather than retrofit the whole compact van, the developers came up with a module two people can slot into the stock car in several minutes. Once installed, it offers a large sleeping place for two with the mattress stored in the trunk, window curtains and a mosquito net.
Opting for a kitchen unit adds a sink, an easily accessible 12-liter water tank, a fridge and a gas stove. Two folding chairs and a small table are also included – you can take the table outdoors or unfold it right behind the center console for an indoor meal, the choice is yours.
