Mercedes-Benz V-Class gets turned into a minimalist campervan

German tuner Vansports has unveiled an off-road-ready variant of the latest Mercedes-Benz V-Class. Dubbed the Geotrek Edition, it may not be cut out for prolonged wilderness trips, but looks great for spending the occasional weekend out in the open.

Starting with a V 250d 4Matic van, the tuners lifted the suspension by 52 mm (2 inches), replaced the tires with General Grabber All-Terrain ones sized 235/55 R18, and installed a new front bumper for a better approach angle. An aerodynamic apron appeared at the rear end, and the whole body was wrapped in a pattern resembling a topographical map.

The cabin seats four people and houses a water cooler with a kitchen sink. The top pops up to create four beds. An outdoor shower is also provided.

Those interested in purchasing the Geotrek Edition get a wide selection of options and accessories to choose from, including undercarriage protection, assorted racks and organizers, wooden floor liner, and a special calibration device for those installing wheels of a different diameter.
