Mercedes-Benz Vito goes from boring to adventurous thanks to Vansports

Vans rarely make the headlines compared to more exciting vehicles like sports cars and SUVs, but ignoring them completely would not be fair. Look what Vansports did to the once-modest Mercedes-Benz Vito!

In its Geotrek clothes, the van doesn’t shun from off-road driving thanks to new, purpose-picked shock absorbers and springs, as well as a rugged body kit with underbody protection at both ends of the chassis. 18-inch custom wheels pictured in the gallery are available in matte bronze or black, and the tuner recommends General Grabber 235/55 tires to go with them.

The van from our photo gallery is currently available for purchase from Vansports, although the price is not public. Curiously enough, the company describes it as a camper complete with kitchen amenities, central heating, a bed and a large battery to power the appliances on board. This sounds nice, but the listing lacks any actual interior photos. As for the video, it shows a very similar Geotrek van completed a year ago.

Powering the ride is a standard 2.1-liter twin-turbo diesel engine rated at 190 PS (187 hp / 140 kW) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque. A seven-speed automatic transmission drives all four wheels.
