The British car brand MG has come forth with some early teaser pics of a next-generation flagship crossover SUV, the X-Motion. The conceptual vehicle of the same name will enjoy its big reveal at the impending 2018 Beijing Automotive Exhibition in China.
The vehicle is scheduled for series production in 2020 or so. A hybrid-powered model will come out first, followed shortly by an all-electric one. Industry professionals believe that it’s most likely going to utilize the body-on-frame construction of the Roewe RX8. As for the drivetrain, stakes are on a two-liter gasoline turbo engine with 224 hp (167 kW) and 360 Nm (265 lb·ft) of torque.
Two other crossover models by MG – GS and ZS – are currently available on the Chinese market.
