Chinese car manufacturer MG has unveiled HS, a crossover vehicle meant to occupy the same market niche as the best-selling Japanese SUV Nissan Qashqai. Sales in China will begin in September.
The exterior appearance of the MG HS approaches that of the X-Motion Concept, while the interior obviously draws inspiration from the new MG 6 sedan.
The car ships with a 12.3” digital instrument panel, a panoramic roof and an infotainment system with a large display. Higher trim levels offer sport seats and interior lighting in 64 different colors.
Among other things, the MG HS crossover comes equipped with 4WD and features MG Pilot, a semi-autonomous driving system built into the cruise control system. It also features lane control and blind spot monitor.
The car will ship with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline V4 rated at 225 hp (168 kW).
