174 ruined cars worth $1.4M found in northern London

UK-based firm London Barn Finds is looking for buyers for 174 abandoned cars discovered in a hangar in northern London. The entire collection could cost as much as $1.4 million USD, with the cheapest entry on the list priced at just $139.

Apparently, a car collector kept buying every old vehicle coming his way hoping to have his collection restored to top condition someday. He never did it, however, ending up with dozens upon dozens of utterly destroyed cars covered in dust and rubble, with many parts missing.

The collection includes such marques as BMW, Citroen, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, MG, and Mini. A 21-year-old Citroen Berlingo van is a piece of junk going for $139, while a 1960 MG MGA tops the list with an asking price close to $35,000.

It remains to be seen how fast the collection will go. The owner provided the sellers with fifteen boxes containing all kinds of relevant documents, including registration certificates, maintenance records, photos, and so on.
