Could MG be making roadsters again?

These latest teaser pics by MG show what the renowned carmaker calls the Cyberster. Looks like the company – which is British in origin but currently part of China-based SAIC Group – is into roadsters again.

The vehicle depicted on the renderings sports backlit MG logos at both ends, every wheel and even the steering wheel. The brake light pattern seems to reference the national flag of Great Britain.

No technical details are available. An interesting side observation is that the name of the car seems made up from two Tesla model names – Cybertruck and Roadster. By the way, Tesla has recently postponed the launch of the latter until 2022.

The latest roadster on the MG lineup – the MG TF – emerged in 2002 based on the F model from 1995. It was put out of production in 2011. Aside from the TF, the British marque might also want to draw inspiration from its iconic MGB model when designing the Cyberster.
