Tuning Gone Brutal: Old Mini with 500+ hp and AWD

As car tuning fans, we have had numerous opportunities to witness tiny city cars turned into flame-spewing, gasoline-guzzling monstrosities. Just look at this dated Mini: its owner had it equipped with a new engine and a humongous turbocharger which now resides in front of the radiator grille.

Apparently, the guy traded the stock Mini engine for a 1.6-liter Honda B16 VTEC. He then proceeded to retrofit it with a Greddy intercooler, Walbro 255 gas pump, improved air intake and purpose-built exhaust system. As a result, the vintage vehicle now churns out an amazing 360 hp (269 kW).

On the outside, the modded Mini sports an opulent body kit, new lights front and rear, Force Racing SLR alloy wheels and Wilwood brakes.

Inside, there are Recaro bucket seats, a Momo steering wheel with carbon inserts, and a powerful audio system assisted by a 12-inch display.

The tuning is still far from complete, though. Planned improvements include a switch to AWD and raising the engine output above 500+ hp (370+ kW), which is more than 10x what the production vehicle has.
