Specially for the UK car market MINI brand presented specially developed versions of 3-Door and 5-Door models. The novelty was named Blackfriars Edition in honor of the London area. According to company representatives, designers were inspired in their work by the image of a monastery, built in 1276 by monks, and their black cloaks.

Also MINI Blackfriars Edition got updated LED headlights, sensors that facilitate the parking process, an electric hatch, sport leather seats and a large screen of a new multimedia system.
