MINI has shared pics of the Vision Urbanaut, a multi-purpose van unlike anything else on its current lineup. The car is not just a design study, however, and more details should follow very soon.
The compact-sized family ride reminds us of the Canoo shuttle bus and sports four wheels at the corners that look motorized. The ‘urban oasis’ mentioned in the description refers to the transforming interior, and the chassis seems to be that of a pure EV. All in all, the Urbanaut looks just like a semi-autonomous minibus for car sharing services. The teaser pics seem to reinforce that idea: note that the cabin resembles a lounge area more than anything else.
