MINI family goes semi-automatic

The semi-automatic transmissions that some MINI hatchbacks and convertibles got early this year are now available for the Countryman SUVs and Clubman estate cars.

The gasoline-powered Cooper S (192 hp), Cooper (136 hp), and One (102 hp) now ship with a seven-speed Getrag DCT. Their diesel and performance variants still use automatic.

By default, all DCT-equipped Mini Countryman and Mini Clubman vehicles will ship with electronic gear selection, but if you prefer a paddle shifter, you may order it installed as an option. Aside from the above, all cars will be getting adaptive headlights. The estate line will take advantage of a hi-end car multimedia.

All gasoline-powered MINI cars produced in Europe will also get gasoline particulate filters for Euro 6d-TEMP emission compliance.
