A man from Great Britain remodeled his classical MINI ride into a real supercar that has no trouble leaving the competition choking on dust. Read on for the details.
The 22-year-old UK citizen started off by dismantling the stock engine and replacing it with a powerful 1.6L turbocharged Honda engine capable of 360 hp (268 kW). He then equipped his MINI with a massive rear wing and racing-grade tires.
The man plans to eventually boost the engine to 500 hp (375 kW) and make a switch from the front drive to AWD.
Among other things, the newborn supercar features sporty-looking pedals, bucket seats with anatomical contours, performance brakes, a new single-pipe exhaust, and even a five-speed mechanical transmission.
The price of the upgrade was never mentioned.
