Mini has presented a special take on its Aceman Concept that it will bring to the Gamescon-2022 in Cologne: the infotainment system of the car comes with Pokémon Pikachu assistant who crops up on the screen and reacts to your touches.
Activating the feature is as easy as choosing Experience Mode. In addition to the new infotainment mascot, the car has built-in projectors that cast the word ‘Pokémon’ along with some SFX onto the asphalt, the door and the dashboard whenever you open the door. The yellow effect corresponds to the glow that appears whenever you catch a Pokémon into a special box.
Finally, the car comes packaged in a special box called Art Toy, which resembles the ‘action pack’ packaging used in the Pokémon franchise.
Mini CEO said before that gamification would play a vital role for the brand heading into the future. Perhaps this is why we are now seeing things like this Poké-Aceman.
