Mini Clubman gets turned into a motorhome

We sincerely don’t know whether there are other Mini Clubman-based motorhomes out there; this is quite likely the only example in existence. Its owner is one Brycen McCright, who had built it himself and uses it for camping trips with his girlfriend.

Why Mini, of all vehicles? The answer is simple: McCright didn’t have a choice. He bought his Clubman several years ago and then discovered his new hobby, camping. Had things gone the other way round, he would’ve probably gone for an SUV instead.

The main gripe he had with his Mini Clubman was, of course, its poor off-road capabilities. Working as a designer in a car tuning and customization shop, he enlisted the help of two colleagues to mod the British estate car. Together, they lifted the suspension by 100 mm (4 inches), installed larger wheels and overlaid the fenders with protective moldings. They also wrapped the body of the car in camouflage film and added a bed for two.

Brycen McCright calls his modded ride “The Mini Prowler”.
