Mini has released a teaser video showing us a glimpse of its upcoming all-electric hatchback, the 2020 Cooper SE. The reveal is scheduled for early next month.
The short clip demonstrates a few classical Minis and then briefly glances upon the new EV. That said, all you can see are the hatchback’s general outlines and charging port.
Thankfully, we already have spy shots that enable us to see all the details ahead of the premiere. To us, the unique paint scheme and the faux grille seem the principal design highlights. As for the driving range, Mini said it would ship the car with a 33 kWh traction battery, which should translate into 180 kilometers (miles) of range under the best conditions. Not particularly good news for the potential buyers of the 2020 Mini Cooper SE. The fact that the car packs a single electric motor rated at a measly 181 hp (135 kW) does not help a bit, either.
However it is, the model should reach the market in November 2019, and pre-orders are already being processed in the USA and some European countries.
