Form over Substance: Mini John Cooper Works gets GP styling

Mini launched its John Cooper Works GP three-door hatchback several months ago, giving it 306 hp (228 kW), chassis improvements, an aerodynamic kit and only two seats. The production run was kept down to 3,000 units, but starting today, you can obtain a non-GP model with GP styling.

The so-called Mini John Cooper Works GP Pack boasts a dark grey paintjob, a new rear spoiler, silver-tinted side mirrors, 18-inch wheels and GP badges throughout the body and cabin. A carbon fiber package is sold separately, and no upgrades are available for the stock JCW engine with its 231 hp (132 kW).

Note that the “true” Mini John Cooper Works GP has slightly different body kit, wheels and other details.
