MINI CEO Bernd Körber said in a recent statement that the three-door Cooper hatchback would soon receive its most crucial makeover in the past two decades.
The next-gen car will debut in 2023 sporting all-new exterior and cabin design, as well as an optional all-electric powertrain.
Körber emphasized that the model will stay faithful to its design roots, despite groundbreaking design changes. In turn, MINI Chief Designer let it slip that the design crew had to be extremely wary working on the next-gen Cooper, trying not to break the formula and ruin what has been an iconic car for decades.
