MINI has brought 29 Cooper and 30 Cooper S cars upgraded to the luxury “Countryman Boardwalk Edition” spec to Australia. Prices start from 52,000 AUD.
For the amount mentioned above, buyers get a car fitted with a 1.5-liter petrol three-cylinder capable of 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque. Sprinting from zero to 100 kilometers per hour (62 mph) occurs in 9.7 seconds.
The Cooper S is more expensive at 58,500 AUD and above that. On the plus side, it begins along a more powerful 2.0-liter turbo four-pot good for 192 PS (189 hp / 141 kW) and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque. The launch takes 7.5 seconds, and the transmission is seven-speed dual-clutch in both cases.
The Countryman Boardwalk Edition adds exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails and assorted decorative inserts. LED headlights, anti-fog lights, a collapsible picnic bench, a 5-inch digital dash display and an 8.8-inch infotainment system are included as standard features.
In addition to the above, the Cooper S sports its own radiator grille, steering wheel, cabin upholstery, and adaptive cruise control.
