In an era when an average new car can set you back around $40,000, the word ‘affordable’ seems almost gone from the automobile fan’s vocabulary. Fortunately for all of us, Mini seems determined to keep it around.
The new Cooper Oxford Edition is available starting from U.S. $19,750 for a two-door and $20,750 for a four-door version. Default equipment includes an 8.8-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay support, a digital dash, frontal collision warning, lane departure warning, satellite radio and LED lighting all around. There is even a two-zone climate control system and heating for the front seats.
Paying an extra $1,500 for the Oxford Plus package nets you a seven-speed DCT box and a panoramic sunroof.
