OctaneFactory works its tuning magic on the Mini JCW GP

OctaneFactory modified a limited-run Mini John Cooper Works GP (GP3) last year, showering it with both aesthetic and technical upgrades. Now, a video has been released highlighting the modifications.

The engine gets a Wagner intercooler, a 200-cell downpipe and an ECU firmware update. This enables it to produce 370 PS (365 hp / 272 kW) instead of the usual 306 PS (302 hp / 225 kW). The torque goes up from 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) to 555 Nm (409 lb-ft). To help the hot hatch better cope with the power, it gets a minor brake system improvement including better cooling.

A look at the wheel arches reveals 19-inch Barracuda Dragoon wheels with Y-shaped spokes finished in high-gloss bronze. KW Variant 3 coilovers make sure the wheel wells are adequately filled.

The only noteworthy modification inside concerns the steering wheel, which is now wrapped in Alcantara and sports a 12-hour mark. The tuner did not reveal any pricing details for the build.
